Played World of Warcraft with Scott this morning; I had a good time and we're pretty near to leveling again, I think. I spent some time reading today (divided among books on poetry, fiction, and technical stuff - widely scattered but it pleased me). I finished the laundry, dishes, paying the bills, and cleaning associated with taking the trash out. And voted - I just have to drop the ballot off, probably tomorrow.
Of course, I also uploaded my photos from the Gardens on Saturday into the computer and found not one worth sharing - to be fair, I didn't take many and didn't try hard, they were so very annoyingly crowded. Still, hmf. Ah, well.
I did remember to stop by Fry's while they still had the sale on for the USB switch, tho'. Now I can hook up a USB device (like, say, the external DVD writer) to it and switch it between two computers. With the mail-in rebate, it will have cost me $5. And I can now back up the desktop that I want to ultimately move my photos to (as it is the one I put a new hard drive in - I've been doing photos from the laptop, which presents a few expansion problems - even the external hard drive was not a great answer). While still being able to use the drive on the laptop. (Neither of them has a writer. I was considering putting a DVD writer into the desktop - much too spendy to do so with the laptop - but then this little thing came on sale and since I already had the USB drive, well, that was pretty obvious of an answer.)
I'm pleased. I'm very, very pleased. Alas, now I get to stop being pleased. Rereading Joust was my reward for accomplishments, but since I still have time left - wheee, right after bills comes balancing the checkbook.
Such an exciting life I have, no?
