I suppose in a sense mother was right....

She told me to pack my umbrella. I didn't, because I wasn't expecting it to rain here and I wasn't expecting to be outside much if at all - staying mostly to the hotel.

But tonight I did go across the street to get a sub, and it DID rain on me. It wasn't a very impressive rain - it was a thin steady mist - and I was still quite dry, not even damp, when I got back to the hotel. But it was a rain, which is more than I'd expected.

(It was a good sub.)

What would they call them elsewhere? I've never heard them called anything but a sub, the chain being Subway....

Just a plain turkey one - I was going for bland, after all.

I like turkey subs... w/ lettuce, tomato and onion... maybe some cheese. Sometimes bland is good. Turkey is weird as it can be bland and yet tasty at the same time.
