- Kakuro. The name drives me buggy. They're cross sums. They've been in Dell puzzle magazines for decades. Suddenly they're neat because they've been rebranded with their Japanese name? *groans* On the other hand, I love doing them, and bless it, the craze means I can get more, and ones made to different styles than the Dell ones, which is really neat. The whole naming thing is silly, but yay, I get more of 'em!

What I find absurd is this: "Kakuro" have been published by Dell, as "Cross Sums" for 50 years in the US and have never gotten popular enough to arrive on the radar. Now they have been rebranded with the Japanese name, and suddenly they're cool? This seems insane. Mind you, ANYTHING that results in more of these things being printed is on balance a good thing in my eyes, but....
