Most of you probably know this, but please, no spoilers. Please, impressions behind a cut. I know that lots of you got it last night while I was sound asleep. I will not get it for weeks or months, since I am somewhere below number 600 on the library hold list. I won't buy hardcovers; I don't care for the price or the need to replace them with paperbacks later (since they use too much shelf space). So I have to wait for the library copy. Please, please, no spoilers. I've already seen one today that the person probably didn't think was a spoiler but I don't want even hints of the tone / what you liked / etc.

I know, it's your journal and you can write whatever you want, but I'll be really, really grateful if I actually get to read this book without knowing anything about it first.

I'm waiting for the post and I'm not the fastest reader.

I'll mail you my copy when I'm done. I'm at work today, so I won't finish it until I run into the whole 'I can't get to the post office during the week' bit and then I'm sending it media mail because I am not made of money and the damn thing is heavy.

But it will still be faster than 600 people will read it, so.

I do not believe I bought the damn thing

I was going to make the same offer, but there are three of us sharing a copy, so dormouse will undoubtedly be faster. :)

You don't even have to ask. I was spoiled for #4 and I have never forgotten that. So I will be sure to put up cuts and spoiler tags when I get there.

Someone spoiled Monoke Hime for you? *brandishes stick in their direction*

And the Sixth Sense thing...yeah, a lot of people enjoyed spoiling that one, I suspect because they were jealous of M. Shamaylan's storytelling skillz. @_@;;

I managed only to get one minor spoiler. [livejournal.com profile] anterastilis pointed out that a bunch of stuff had been leaked, and we both shut down our comms and feeds. I still got one in a reply to a comment on a feed. I've just finished the book and am on my way to find that person and expound vitriol down upon them. >_> I would have offered to mail you my copy, but I promised it to P. I bought 2. One's for a neighbor kid who didn't come to pick it up. Really worth the effort, huh?

It's too bad there's no way to have LJ forward comments, etc. to someone for reviewing before you read them, or I'd offer to check them for spoilers.
