*frowns* I am caught between cats, and I have no fuzzy cuddle. Feh.

Apple burst through the barrier last night, and once she knew she could, there was no stopping her. So...they weren't supported to meet face-to-face again yet, and I'm not sure there won't be a fur-flying fight sooner or later, but I turned Apple loose tonight and wandered downstairs myself, letting them meet down here. So far, Babe has hissed, growled, and snarled, but only made one attack attempt which she aborted when I said her name sharply. I don't intervene with anything short of a physical attack - best to let them sort this out - but I prefer not to see Apple turned into a fur-smear, and I'm pretty sure she'd lose. She's agile, but she's also tiny and gentle, and Babe is quick when she wants to be.

It has been a sort of cold war ever since. But I can't cuddle Apple - that will show favoritism and piss Babe off (I did pet her once, and sure enough, it pissed Babe off). And I can't cuddle Babe because Babe is pissy and is prone to hiss or snarl at me if I do anything wrong. As a consequence I am sitting here with a flirt of a cat who loves head-rubs and a snuggler who likes lap-time and to bury her nose in my elbow, and yet, NO furry cuddles for MEEEEEEEEE.

On the other hand, I think these two may get used to each other yet. Maybe this can still all work. I hope.

And would this cold please go away? I am SO FREAKING TIRED. I wouldn't have gone to work today, except there was WAY too much that needed to get done. Fooey!

I think they will sort it out themselves eventually and at least learn to tolerate each other.

Hopefully you will get cuddle time back soon. I would hate not having that.
