1) Making a post that says "It's my birthday!" and then coming back a few hours later and going "Why the heck is the mailbox for my LJ replies so full?" is just silly. I? Am silly.

2) Clothes shopping is no fun at all. But it is much nicer when it is successful, when the things you like that fit turn out to be on sale, and when done on a weekday afternoon when the mall is, if not barren, at least much less busy.

3) I am so tired of women's sizes in the U.S. Someone please just give me tags that give the measurement through the waist, hips, butt, inseam, and rise, pls? I admit it's more numbers but if I could get an accurate idea of whether it would fit before picking what to try on, I'd be happy. Problem compounded by the fact that this varies, not just by manufacturer, or by style, but by both. Sigh.

4) I win anyway, 'cause I have pants that fit. These can replace a few pairs that fit only if you consider 'fit' to mean 'automatic tourniquet on sitting' or 'excuse me, sir, I did not mean to hit you in the eye with my button, it just popped off' (okay, no, really not quite that bad but they FEEL like it).

I like shopping, mind. I just dislike CLOTHES shopping. There's a reason for this. :P

Dude.. they do it for the men's clothing... why can't they do it for women's?? Not that it doesn't vary as well at times. Husband has trouble finding pants/jeans that fit him properly as well because of his thighs. :P He has to get 'relaxed' fit jeans for them to fit right, or at all.

Meanwhile, I'm short waisted, and buy the low rise jeans, and have them fit me fine. :P Still, it's a pain in the butt to go clothes shopping!

I say, "Happy Belated Birthday!" I hope it was good. And yay for finding pants. I know what you mean about variation between manufacturers.

Clothes shopping sucks. Styles meant for someone with curves are NOT MADE in sizes that women with curves own. At least not at prices I can afford. I simply can't tolerate the concept of paying $100 for a freaking SHIRT.
