Three shirts - Scott did a couple photos tonight where I just got into them long enough to show them.
Today's shirt for work. Less inspired cut (though I love the color), but at $1.50 it's not a bad deal. A woman in our sister company, who has seen me the past several weeks several times, commented that "hey, you're finally in maternity wear" when she saw it. I actually thought the earlier shirts looked more like maternity wear and less like oversized normal shirts (and I know I ran into her while wearing at least yesterday's, maybe Monday's also). Oh well!
A black shirt that I got for $5 because I liked it too much to leave it. That's always the risk.
And the third shirt, the only one I bought that needed some alteration to make me happy with it (not a repair of damage, just a reworking of the neckline, and within what I could hand-sew). I'm not sure which of two shirts on the receipt this was, it was either $2.13 or $2.50.

I had not intended to buy anything as fancy/formal-evening feeling as the black shirt, but I tried it on and it looked so good on me that I just had to have it. (If it had been at retail store prices, there is no way I'd've bought it, but as it is....)
Edited to note: What amuses me most about the third shirt is that it had made it to the 75%-off stage (which they do based on how long it has been in the store), which is why I am pretty sure it was the $2.13 shirt (I don't remember picking up any that were originally $10). I assume because most people noticed the fabric letting that area sag and gap, which (unlike my other two issues with it) would happen regardless of the shape of the person considering it. I really don't sew, but bringing that panel together was so obviously easy it was worth it - but apparently not to anyone else....

You look great in all of them.

That was a VERY productive shopping trip, especially compared to all the other thrift stores that yielded...absolutely nothin'.
Well done!
