*thud* I didn't go to the OC farmer's market. I realized, if I did, we'd end up with more fruits & veggies than I actually wanted. Instead, I'll check it out next weekend.
I also failed to get a crock pot. Apparently, what I want doesn't exist (based on internet searching) in the size I want it in, but frankly the selection the couple places I went stank. I may have to order online. I've ordered a smaller crockpot (smaller than the one I have now) without those features from that stupid work gift I got that couldn't get me anything useful to me at the time. It's free, so the worst it can be is a loss; with luck it'll be useful for things like the cobbler (which can be made in the larger crock, but doesn't need to be). Looks like the smallest programmable one you can get is four quarts, I want 2.5-3. Sigh. Oh well. There's a neat-looking one that comes with three crocks (2, 4, and 6 quarts) but it's not really programmable. It has a 'keep warm' heat setting but not the ability to drop into it after cooking, as far as the writeups show. Pity! I'll see how the free one does and decide later if I need to replace it with something more like the one I currently have (definitely can find that, at least).
