Dry pet food recall.

Mars Petcare is recalling dry pet foods (for both cats and dogs, under a variety of brand names) that may have been contaminated by salmonella. Thanks for posting this. My dogs eat Ol' Roy, and my cats eat Special Kitty, which are both produced at that facility. Upon entering the production codes from my bags, however, we're clean. Which is good since we've used over half of both bags.

Whew. Glad the bags you have weren't part of the problem. I read that and just winced, especially given how long they waited to say something about it.

Welcome. :) I don't either, but I have way too many people on my friends-list with pets - seemed likely that someone would use one or more of the brands. (Though really, they shut production down in late July but only told us about it in mid-September? Argh!)
