Okay, I found the beads again. See, I went to get them this morning (actually, mostly charms) and I couldn't find the bag from yesterday. I distinctly remembered dropping it in one of the other bags (but not which one) and then bringing them all in. It should be here.

It wasn't. Or rather, I was dead sure it was, but I could not FIND it. Note that I only got $10 or so worth of beads. As anyone who beads can tell you - unless you're buying seed beads (I wasn't), that's not a lot of bulk. If you're buying really fancy stuff (I also wasn't) it might be just a single item or two.

And I had to find it. Aie. It was in the bag from bimart, under the dental gum, when I tracked it down. Geesh.

I need to set up a storage center for my beads, again. A better one than I have now. If I'm going to take it up again...well, disorganized beading supplies are NOT a happy thing. As I have just AMPLY proved.

I hate getting caught up from getting behind, even more. I staff on a couple sites. I buildstaff on any site where I staff at all. I don't enjoy roleplay-staff positions; and while I'm a decent coder, I program all day during the week. It's not a hobby to come home and do it some more, unless it's a feature I really want!

So I haven't been getting inspections done quickly enough on one site, and today I'm trying to get caught up. *groans* *sighs* It's my own fault. I insist that we actually have quality building, and that makes inspections a lot more work. Makes the end result a lot cleaner, though.

At least I'm getting the work level worn down. Two builds approved, three more to inspect. (Well, four, but I can hardly inspect my OWN work.... Hopefully someone else will pick that item up! :)

Actually, that wasn't so bad. For one thing, it wasn't as tiring/depressing, because the building I was inspecting was really good, and most of it got approved (and the rest came close). And now I'm all caught up. This is good.

Never turn me loose in a storage shop. Never, never, never. Not even with a goal.

It wasn't that expensive.... Considering what I got, anyway. Hoo boy.

I have a rolling card with three shelves. The shelves are metal and let me see what's on them pretty well. I have a bunch of plastic containers ranging from large (I'm going to put tubes of seed beads in here) to tiny (1-inch spaces). They stack very nicely on the shelves of the cart. I have a tray (originally a "dinner tray" in cheap faux-wood with a white plastic bottom. Inch and a half lip; where the handles are, the opening is 3/4 inch up from the bottom.

This is GREAT for beads. It also fits PERFECTLY on the top shelf of the cart..... And the lovely thing is, if I get bored with beading, I take the plastic containers away, stack them in my crafts room, and stack whatever I AM obsessed with on the cart. Want to work on current project? Haul down the tray - I'll have left it there - and work on it in my chair. Done with it? Deposit back on cart, no problem.

I think I'm in love. Slightly poorer, but in love....

Now, wish for me that this works as well as I think it will, but it LOOKS good. I should be able to see everything by moving no more than one container, mostly by moving none, snag what I want, and deposit it in the tray. This should work really well.

Here's hoping it does.

It's getting near time for me to go to bed. Tomorrow I go to work, and I get the pager back.

I'm still sorting beads. I'm not even NEAR done, of course, but I didn't expect to be. But I want to stay up, and chat with my friends, and sort beads!

Oh, well. Tomorrow's another day. And I plan to be awake for it.

Hee.
