I'm still laughing pretty hysterically...this is a great article.

Okay, I know some of you reading this will have already seen this when it was originally linked. But...this is hysterically funny. (Trust me, it is in the end.)

Catch of the Day (The Rudy Story) - all of it. Including the kitchen sink.

I'd like more of it, but it's been nice. I got to scene Satha, and Zulaikh, and Jemmael, all three.

Alariel is now officially retired. Babbling about reasons for retirement and what I like about her. )

I played more of Dungeon Siege (still enjoying, very glad I have it), did some laundry, hauled some boxes up to store in the under-eaves area with Scott's help (books heavy).

I've had the pager almost my full week, I give it over to someone else tomorrow, and the thing hasn't gone off yet.

The pasture is green, but there are hints of reddish brown and yellow from the various grasses out there. Very, very pretty. With the windows open we get a lovely cross breeze and I am pleasantly surprised that my allergies don't seem to act up all that much when we do so.

My personal email is finally on the laptop as I had intended to do several months ago. The desktop is once more hooked up to the inkjet printer, and it's working.

I found my myrtlewood perfume again - I love that scent, I absolutely love it.

And the computer room is full of stuffed animals. Or at least, my side of it is. Squirrel on the Mac's mouse pad, beanie baby cat on the left PC speaker, small plush white tiger on the right speaker; large plush white tiger on the shelf behind the laptop, curled up white cat (not really a normal stuffed animal, but definitely not a live one) on the shelf above that, between scanner and printer, and a plush black cat on the windowsill.

The windowsill cat will have to move, or the blinds won't come down, of course. But I couldn't figure out wehre to put it.

If the weather reports still look good, I should try to get deck-treatment stuff this week. While the weather holds, would be a good time to reseal it.

I'll probably forget again, but we'll see.

Tomorrow I'd like to go to the Japanese Gardens after work, if I get out with enough time. I wanted to go Friday but I had the after-hours phone, so it seemed a bad idea.

Okay, that's just dumb. How about the school system "sanitizing" (editing to be politically correct) literary exerpts on an English exam? To the point of destroying the original meaning? Without any indication the passage was edited?

Our school system is nuts.
