High school reunion. Ten-year reunion. I've not seen most of my classmates in all that time, and I wanted to go. Once they figured out what it would be.
I wish they'd made it something else. Dinner and dancing at some fancy restaurant on Saturday; and then from noon until three the following Sunday, a family picnic on the school grounds (lovely area, really). 'Please bring a dessert or side dish to share.'
Okay, so far that's not awful. However. If I want to go, I have to pay $50 ($95 if I want to bring Scott along). They didn't separate the events; if they had, I'd go to the picnic but not the dinner, as I imagine that's the bulk of the cost and I don't like dancing.
I dunno. Maybe this is normal and I'm just a spoil-sport. But that doesn't sound worth $50 for both of us, let along those prices.
