Sorry. Saw a link to this post and needed to share. Not precisely wanted to. If you love animals and are not needing to be upset, don't follow the link.

The things people will do are sick. That is just horrifying.

Yes, this is a purely emotive post. I am a bleeding heart who loves animals. I'm a bit upset.

That is really out of hand. I can't believe that an animal facility would do that. I can understand if the cat is determined to be feral, but not in this situation. This is totally wrong and they should be held accountable. Just my 2 cents.

It's outrageous and unacceptable. I left my condolences for the poor woman and it pleases me that the CEO has gotten back to her so quickly.

But as I said in my LJ, if anyone had done that to my Chynna (essentially my 'child'), there would be no one left standing in the bloody death-path I would create on my warpath to those responsible for her murder, I fear.

What just kills me about all of this is that no one would just slaughter someone's grandmother, child or cousin for being a 'nuissance', but they think it's ok to do so to someone's pet who was so obviously a domestic animal, someone's beloved family member (as she mentioned this animal was plump, neutered and whatnot)...

Sure, perhaps the animal overpopulation thing is a problem, but it is unacceptable to destroy an animal so quickly when there is every indication that this could be someone's pet (especially when it's in a residential area).
