Siona at Nomen est Numen writes of insights on why we journal online. I don't know if they are true for everyone, or if they are the whole truth; but they ring to me as a truth. And the tale at the end of the entry is worthy in its own right, a small thing but well worth a smile. Perhaps I understand and like it so well because I have been there....

Crabby Old Lady writes about the woes of difficult packaging. I must agree on some points; others give me no trouble. But the essay is amusing....

On a not so amusing note, isn't it nice to know that the US government is protecting their web site that is designed for US citizens outside the US to register to vote, from many people outside the US (citizens and otherwise)? Ostensibly it's to avoid hacking, but really, folks.... Update: Per comments, this was truly temporary and is gone now, apparently.

*sigh* The absentee voting websites are back to normal. It was a temporary measure only, which has already been removed.

Alas, it's still making the LJ rounds, as good news never travels as fast as bad.
