Work's been busy this week, but okay. Found some unexpected issues in some changes so I brought work home this weekend, but I'm feeling pretty good about where that is. I'd like to put in a few more hours on it today, all the same. Also found time to read some books, poke around online as usual, that sort of thing. On Friday I stopped at Fry's and picked up a USB memory thingy. It was on sale for only $20 - it's only 128 meg but that's more than I really need, so I am happy with that.

I still haven't sorted out Christmas gifts, nor gotten the Christmas cards out the door. This is not yet a disaster but it may be - the cards at least, I really do feel I should get done. Gifts I waver back and forth on but I appear to be feeling more giftish than not, this year.

I'm going to be very unhappy next week. I have an appointment with an allergist on Thursday and I have to not take my antihistamine for three days beforehand. Which, as it's a time-release one that I take in the morning and goes for 24 hours, means skipping Monday morning's dose and all the ones after. Whee.

I found a "watermelon" scented candle. It's disturbing. Amusing, but disturbing.

One of Scott's friends loaned us the GURPS 4th Edition books, so at some point I will look through them and see what I think of it. (Given that I haven't found anyone to play GURPS with in a long time, I think it unlikely that I will choose to buy it in any case.) So far I only flipped through briefly and my first impression is that they made idiotic choices. It's hardbound with glossy paper - a lot of it. It would have been much cheaper to do it with regular paper. Plus, the ink they used is such that anything red or brown is rough to the touch, as though the book had got something on it (which it has - only it's the ink!). This is much more disconcerting than if they had just used normal paper, at least to me. I don't like the feel of these books. The look is very nice, however, I don't care for what it does to the price.

I'm very glad to get the chance to read through it, though.

At ten, we'll go out to - gluh - do the shopping. I say this with such enthusiasm because we need to stop at Costco. Sunday mornings are quieter than any other weekend time, but still in the holiday season, this is just not enthusing me as much as it might.... Will probably look for possible gifts at the same time, because a separate run to do so sounds like torture.

Oh, and this picture is beautiful and this bear is funny. In my opinion, anyway. :) If that bear was $25 or less I might even get it, or ask someone for it for Christmas, but it's way too expensive for the amusement factor. That's okay, I can be amused by the web page selling it, at any rate.
