The drive home today....

...was interesting. I drove into what I thought was rain, then realized was sleet. Then it turned into hail. Hail. In April. At this elevation!

Played merry havoc with the freeway traffic; I'll even forgive my fellow drivers for this. Oregonians ought to know how to drive in rain, but I'll accept skittishness due to hail mixed with fairly heavy sleet that were, besides unusual, messing with visibility as well.

For bonus points, there were a very few cloud breaks....

...one of which was permitting the sun to shine, full brilliance, through the onslaught. Talk about visibility issues. :P

Sounds like the weather I had driving up from Phoenix to the Canyon my first day here... except it ended up as snow up there. The past few days have been absolutely gorgeous though... I hope that pattern holds for the next week.

I got hailed on while in Mac yesterday. Little tiny hail, smaller than a buckshot, but lots of it. The ground was white for a few minutes.
