First, key note: if you want to gift, this info is here. PLEASE don't feel obligated. The boys do not need anything, though there's plenty they want, and more they'd like, I'm sure.

That said, they have wish lists, and then I have some additional notes on things they like and don't like along with those.

Today we got nectarines from Harry & David. I am not very amused by the shipping, as usual, but nonetheless we have nectarines. Now to wait for them to ripen.

Today, I got a new bag of dry cat food in a different flavor for Babe (same brand and type). She was starting to snub the old to the point it worried me, I think because it may have gotten stale. I also got a new kitty toy (same style as another we have that she really likes) and she has been too cute chasing the vibrantly turquoise feather strip about. (She has also been too cute putting multiple holes in my left knee, but I know better than to be in reach when she is playing. Sigh. Betadine and bandages are my friends.) She's curled up next to me now, soft and sweet and cute and using the puffy feather thing as a pillow. Made cuter by the fact that it's fluttering very gently in the breeze from the ceiling fan.

Today, I got a box from [livejournal.com profile] tibicina. To which I say first thank you and second: GUPPY! Fishy, anyway. Glee, glee, random gifties and glee. I was not expecting a box and, bonus, it was shipped USPS which arrives here fine. Shiny things. Puzzles and little candies and fishy things and book and shiny. Unexpected gifts rock.

I think I go to bed soon, very soon, so as to be alive and all that tomorrow.

Did you know, they make marionberry cheesecake? At least, someone does.

One of Scott's coworkers, you see, was selling cheesecakes for charity. (I didn't ask whether they called it that; if they didn't, they missed some lovely alliteration.)

I don't know what charity. I just know he felt like buying them, and doesn't really like sweets. So I have a marionberry cheesecake (admittedly a baby one, maybe 6 inches, but still a cheesecake!) and a triple chocolate raspberry cheesecake (same size).

The marionberry one is sinfully rich, and utterly delicious. It's also a quarter gone, and I only got it today. (But hey, a quarter of that little thing isn't much. Right? Right?)

The triple chocolate raspberry is in the freezer. I'm glad cheesecakes freeze well. I'm also half afraid to find out how rich that is.

But for now, I have marionberry cheesecake. It's delicious, it's creamy, and hey - it must be good for me, right? It has fruit in it!

Well, maybe not. But it's very good for my mood after a long day.
