How Deliria: Miracle Season would have ended. We played parts 1-4, and then I think we were at the con once when the man running it wasn't, and - we haven't made it to GenCon since. I suspect he's long since stopped running them, but I do wish I'd found out how sections 5-6 played.
Okay, so there's a meme going around. You give me questions/things to write about, and I write about one a day.
...let me know when you've finished laughing hysterically, because yes, that's not feasible. However, if you give me things to talk about, I will pick off *at least* one per week and will *try* to pick off more.
Answers will come in the form of general posts to my journal, but a link to that post will be added in reply to the comment with the question.
Caveat: I will ignore/non-answer those I'm not comfortable with, but, I'll leave a comment that I did so.

So,
jenett is doing salon threads in her Dreamwidth account. Basically, get together and chat. If you're curious, have the FAQ for it.
I'm tempted to do the same or similar. Question is, would you participate if I did that and the topics I seeded it with, or the digressions others took it to, were of interest to you?
1) If I did it with comments open only on Dreamwidth? (OpenId and anonymous could be used to comment, remembering that any LiveJournal user can auth as OpenId there.)
2) If I did it with comments open only on LiveJournal? (OpenId, anonymous, Facebook, Twitter, Google, all could be used to comment. As well as a couple more services, but I think they're more common in Russia.)
I wouldn't want to leave comments open on both, because the idea is to create a set of discussions people can mix and mingle through, which is easier if they are all in one space.
I'm not sure I have the time or brain for this. I'm *quite* sure I don't have it this week, so now is a good time to ask y'all if it's worth trying to figure out if I can do it.
Probable day for starting them: Friday morning (Pacific time), because that's my usual day for things that need brain and typing time.
Is this of any interest to you? Please let me know.

Not for me. For Drew. I have some criteria, though.
First, he's three, but he likes longer books - Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day is about the length (word and page count both) I'm targeting right now.
Second, it has to be a good story.
Third, it'd be nice if it included diverse characters (racial, gender, romance/relationships), and/or broader cultural exposure than white cis straight American. He gets *plenty* of exposure to that, and there's a shortage of exposure to other things for discussion.
Fourth, it would also be nice if they showed handling negative emotions well as far as actions. Not just handling badly and then censuring it, but actually handling it well. Acknowledged or not by the book/characters, as long as it's there.
Third and fourth are "it would be nice". I am still interested in good books that don't, or only slightly, meet those!
(There are limits. The book I encountered in the grocery store while browsing recently, the one about kids playing at being grownup, in which "mommy" was a little girl who cooked and cleaned and cared for the dolly-kids and every "professional" was a boy? Gag. Then again, that also wasn't a good story! Heh.)
Thanks.

I posted about this here. It's happened to people I know and trust, and to people known to and trusted by people I know and trust.
It is reported that the head of LJ's support group claims this is lies and slander (linked comment translates, links original reference).
They're also, alternately, asking that affected people file a support request in the billing category (which can be done here).
Me, I'm wondering given the timing if it's another kind of glitch. Reportedly, everyone affected "really" turned on auto-pay to get a good deal, "then forgot" - which seems kind of unlikely, especially as some of the affected people say they've NEVER used auto-pay. I'm wondering if something around the last holiday season "accidentally" turned on auto-pay for year subscriptions. But I'm not convinced that covers this, since reportedly (and this is by people I don't know) some of the affected people had it on, turned it off in response to the comment page issue, and found it still on. So I'm curious, and when I get curious enough (rarely) I poll:

Looking for recipes for savory breakfast muffins. However...I'm hoping for a recipe you've tried and liked (or liked a variant on) that meets the following criteria:
1. Must be nut-free. It's okay if you had it with nuts as long as they are optional, but no almond flour required recipes, please!
2. Ideally, it will either be dairy-free or have little dairy besides milk and a small amount of butter. This one is highly negotiable, though, and I realize cheese is used in a lot of these.
3. Shouldn't require a food processor or blender. (Or six arms, or six hours of prep time per muffin....)
4. Added bonuses that are not strictly required:
* Low carb (avoiding white flour and high-carb substitutes)
* Veggie content
* Not too much total salt (this does include meat if used)
* Easy / quick to prepare would be a bonus, however I'm willing to spend time as long as I get enough muffins in return to freeze and enjoy later. :)
Google is turning up some possibilities, I'm just hoping someone I know can recommend a recipe or recipes they've used. :) Internet recipes: kind of hit or miss, actually.

Argh. So, someone mentioned maple tea. I can't find enough info online. First, I've heard the comments about it not having any calories but some of the writeups imply it has actual maple sugar in it (at least some brands) - if so that would matter - anyone know? For a specific brand, at least?
Anyone know an online site that sells in the US, green or herbal maple tea (not black), preferably both, in bags? (Loose tea: not my cup of tea due to the extra mess and fuss.)
Bonus points if anyone knows a site that sells more than one brand.
Also, I found a site that sells "maple herbal tea" and "decaf maple herbal tea"...do I even want to know how you get an herbal tea with caffeine? O.o

Has anyone out there done this? What equipment would you recommend?
Are there any businesses in the Portland or Salem areas that you know of, that will do this for you, and that you have either experienced or heard good things about? Any you know to avoid?
I have added a number of slides to the existing photos (which of course, all have negatives that will yield a better scan than what I'm getting from the photos). But I'm not made of free time here, either...paying someone to do it is easier, if they are trustworthy, if they will do a good job, and if I won't be paying an arm and a couple of legs. (It's fine if the prices start off high, if they scale down for large quantities, trust me....)
I'd rather do this myself, but if I take that approach, first I don't know what equipment to get, second that looks expensive too, and third (and most importantly) I don't know when I could possibly get it done. It would take forever! Okay, not literally, but a long time.

Anyone know the best way (besides closed doors) to confine cats to or from one part of the house? Is there a baby gate, doggy gate, or other barrier that works well? Does it require screws in the wall, or is a free-standing one going to be enough? (Bearing in mind that at least one of the cats is moderately strong and heavy.)
